Does anybody else have extra bags of fresh cranberries sitting around from Thanksgiving? Or do you stock up your freezer for the rest of the year, like I do?

extra festive (smaller batch) mini monster cookies

Ok, so I know this is not particularly a new recipe here on Sweet Anna’s, but it is a perfected one and something you should make ASAP.

Monster cookies are the perfect cookies for cookie exchanges, mailing treats, giving away to neighbors and friends… they are naturally gluten-free* and they freeze beautifully, so they make great gifts.

I have been making these for years (and so have most of my family members!) and I think I finally perfected them one step further!

With the addition of Christmasy mini-m&ms, a little more coconut for extra moisture, and a smaller, shareable size, these really are perfect holiday baking cookies.

Best of all, this is my small-batch recipe, which suits my life much better than the regular huge batch.

easy peppermint chocolate marshmallow candy

This lovely little treat takes less than 5 minutes to throw together. A little bit of chill time in the fridge to set up and you can have a super-quick, easy festive treat whenever you want!

I am a sucker for fun marshmallows. It’s the kid in me, I guess, but every time I see a new shape or flavor of marshmallow at the store, I just can’t resist bringing some home.

The peppermint ones I used are about the cutest I’ve seen. Wider and flatter than regular marshmallows, they are perfect for this layered chocolate peppermint marshmallow treat.

If you can’t find them at your stores, use regular marshmallows, cut in half (to make 2 flatter circles), or mini marshmallows, and add 1/2 teaspoon of peppermint extract to your chocolate mixture.

You will get all the same flavor!
