(That's Bjørn in the picture... yep. This picture is from 2009.
Because the photographer in the family never seems to get any pictures of herself!)
No, no one In Real Life calls me Anna... but not because I mind, it has just rarely happened! But "Sweet Anna's" rolls off the tongue a bit better than "Sweet Annalise's"- don't you think?
My husband, My Love, is Andrew... our boys worship him and I adore him. Nothing is better in this world than daddy!
We have 3 kiddos:
(Side note: It took me over 9 months to get a decent picture of all 3 of these active boys...
ignoring the bruises on Haakon's head from learning how to walk, that is!)
Navy is my almost 10 year old stepson... He is a charming, spirited boy who definitely keeps us on our toes! Sometimes I blog about my life as a 'Stepmom'. Other times I keep those things to myself. Please feel free to reach out to me on this topic! I love to talk to other stepmoms!!
Haakon is almost 1, and the newest member of our family... born at home in our bathtub! He is so incredibly happy... I honestly didn't even think it was possible for a baby to be filled with so much joy. He laughs... all the time. No exaggeration!
This is our life:
I am a big city girl married to a small town boy. Every day is a joy and at the same time a challenge as I learn to live and love this small town life.
I am a foodie... with a deep passion for everything edible and for sharing what I love with others. Food is my love language... If I bake for you, I love you. That's just all there is to it!
I spend my days taking care of my kiddos, trying to keep ahold of the housework, and feeding my friends and family.
I'm even planning on trying to plant a garden next spring! (And that's BIG news coming from a city girl who barely had a parking strip of a yard growing up!)
I'm a wife & mom first... A baker & cook second.
I am also officially a home-birthing mama* and a self-proclaimed Birth Junkie! I am beyond obsessed with everything Birth, and dream of being a birth photographer or maybe even a midwife someday.
(*Please don't think I am going to judge your choices or opinions. I love to help people understand home birth, but I'm not guilting anyone into anything or judging your opinions!!)
If you're squeamish, don't go snooping in my freezer (yep, you just might find a placenta in there!) but if you're curious I just LOVE to chat on this topic!!
Welcome to my journey... I hope you enjoy my recipes and ramblings!
