I need your help guys. Seriously.
I have just entered fully into this crazy multiple kids in school - meaning way too much time in the car - season of life and it is totally kicking my ‘you know what’.
I don’t know how you all do it! What with rushing breakfasts, packing lunches, constantly making snacks, and then prepping and cooking dinner in the midst of all that, I am just plain exhausted.
And I won’t lie… we have eaten way more than our fair share of mac & cheese lately! My goodness, I feel like I spend 99% of my life in the kitchen. (Good thing it’s my favorite room!)
I am trying to get better at prepping things ahead of time, in order to simplify my life a little bit during this hectic season. Bure here’s where I need your help.
What are your tricks and tips for simplifying this chaotic season of life? (Besides running through a fast-food joint or ordering take-out!)
Packing lunches the night before, prepping breakfasts the night before, and getting crockpot meals ready to turn on in the morning are a few of the ways I am trying to improve the flow here in the kitchen.
But you know what? Before I got my new Maytag appliances, especially the big roomy fridge, it was so hard to do some of those things.
Even packing a lunch the night before was hard sometimes trying to find places to store it in the fridge for later. And prepping a crockpot meal was not even possible, since there was no way to fit the crockpot insert into the fridge until morning!

Even with all this room though, I am running out of fresh ideas. And my family is getting a little tired of the same old, same old. So…
What are your favorite crockpot (slow cooker) meals?
What are your kids favorite lunches?
What are your favorite after-school snacks to make??
What are your favorite school morning breakfasts?
Wow, I am full of questions today aren’t I? I told you I needed help!!
Please, please, I would love your tips. How do you stay on top of things when it feels like you spend half your life in your car?!

The fridge has still not worn off its novelty… the littles love opening the middle drawer and getting their own apples/carrots/string cheeses out for a snack. I love that they can grab something healthy, without me having to do it for them! And I have yet to run out of room in the fridge, even after major Costco-stockup trips!
