“I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Haribo. I received product samples, and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.”
“Would my family like to try out Haribo’s new gummy Smurfs candy? Are you serious?! You obviously don’t know my gummi-addicted boys very well if you even have to ask!”
Yes, that was the conversation running through my head when I got the email request from Haribo (click here to go check out their facebook page and learn more about these gummi Smurfs!) & Mom Central.
I mean, goodness, I didn’t even have to think about that decision for 2 seconds.
My family is absolutely obsessed with gummi candies, and very specifically Haribo brand. They have always been our favorite.
Check out these faces when I opened up the package!
(Yes, I staged it with the camera, because I knew there would be joy. The boys, however, had no idea what was coming!)
Oh and to make this deal even sweeter (ha!) I have a little potty-trainer in my house right now who just so happens to love gummis as much as the rest of us. Gummi Smurfs? Have been potty-training GOLD in this house! (I am already dreading the day I run out. Actually, no I’m not, because I will be buying several more bags when that happens!)
Ok, so candies aside, I think I like the Smurfs part more than my boys do right now, but they’re a little young. They do, however, catch on to the stuff I love and so they are excited about Smurfs in general because I love them. Old school. (I am a child of the 80s!)
We have not seen the new Smurfs movie that just came out (but when’s the last time you tried to take an 11 year old, 4 year old, 2 year old and 1 year old to a movie? Ha!!) but, we will definitely be watching it as soon as we get a chance though (maybe on DVD, but we are a patient family when it comes to movies!).
I have to ask, since I am now drooling dreaming of all of my favorite Haribo gummi candies… What is your favorite gummy candy?
Mine? Haribo Happy Cola. I’m smiling right now just thinking about them! (Sugar-addict, much?)
(True story: When I was traveling in Scandinavia several years ago, I stopped at the Duty-Free shop in the Copenhagen airport and filled up almost a whole carry-on suitcase with Haribo candies. I. was. in. heaven. That was the best Christmas ever!)
Andrew loves the classic Gold-Bears, but I’m pretty sure he’s never turned down a gummi-anything. Ever.
The boys, well, they love any candy they can get their hands on. By the time we are done with this whole potty-training thing (because, you know, when one kid gets a treat for pottying, we all get a treat for moral support!) we are going to need to do a serious detoxing in this house. It might be rough. You may want to call before you stop by!
Ok, so now I have to ask another question, since my mind is there… What did/do you use for Potty Training rewards? And, do you have any tips for me??
