Halloween is tomorrow… Are you ready?
Or, like me, are you totally oblivious and a last-minute prepper for the ‘day of candy’?
I am actually not a big fan of Halloween, but I won’t begrudge my kids the chance to look adorable and beg for candy that I can later eat. ;o) I mean, that’s really what it’s all about, right?!
I am trying to get better at making special days a little more… special. I tend to be a little lazy on the special-stuff for my kids, especially if that special stuff means more work and more cleaning (which it usually does!).
But I am learning that if I focus on the little things, like making something I already have to do, a little more special, the memories are made and the kids are thrilled. It really is the little things. Like smiley faces on waffles.
So, how about this super-cute breakfast to start off the day?
My boys were so excited when they saw these “pumpkin smiley face waffles” as they called them. And I was more than happy to enjoy a waffle slathered with chocolate-hazelnut spread for breakfast! Yum!
Oh and hey! And I have a fun little giveaway for you today!
Eggo is giving one of you a waffle gift basket… with a coupon for a free box of waffles, an adorable Eggo t-shirt (that my almost 12 year old loves!), some cute Eggo plates, and a recipe book with some more fun Eggo waffle recipes!

Toast the waffles, well done, and spread them with a generous layer of chocolate-hazelnut spread.
Using orange-colored chocolate chips, or any other orange colored candy, design a jack-o-lantern face onto the waffle.
Press one chocolate chip into the top edge of each waffle for a stem. Serve immediately! :o)
